Life drawing Painting II

Today we did some mixed media doing 30 minute poses in life drawing class,
I was really feeling everything flowing today so got some cool results.
It's a shame it was the last official class, but we have an extra evening session before the end of the year.

More Graham

I needed to do a color for the storyboards, so I decided to pick this panel from the storyboards and work it out as some kind of illustration. I'm really just playing with some approaches that work fast and easy. And at the same time I'm keeping an eye on my colorwheel to pick colors I think work well together..

This time I was too lazy to ink, so just tried to keep my pencils clean...

Background then is done in photoshop

Graham : Storyboards

This is the storyboard for the opening sequence of our script, it's not finished but we didn't need that many panels for the college assignment so I'll finish it next week.

Fatman walk penciltest

Work in progress

Penciltest of my fatman front walk from Dave Dekeyser on Vimeo.

New frontwalk test

What do I want to do in life? euuh...ok, wel maybe I dont know what I want to do in life, but I do know I'd like to get work as an animator. So..I guess I better start animating a heck of a lot more. Whipped out this walk yesterday, definitly gonna add more bounce to the walk, but for a few hours work this was pretty cool. Sure has a lot better structure then the last disaster I worked on. All I need now is a light for my animation table to do those inbetweens, even though our teacher says that we only need to flip and roll, I think it would definitly speed up the process...

A cowboy and an alien

loose topic for the Daily Sketchgroup Challenge at CA.
Inked and colored in PS

More sketchbook work

I planned to go sketching in the zoo but the queue to get in was massive!
So I just walked back and made some sketches along the way home.
this is the first time I did some actual figure studies outdoors :D
I have no idea if I approached it alright but concidering I drew them while walking,
I'm pretty happy!

This is a skeleton pose drawn without reference, getting there!

Did the inbetweens, I've come to the point where I just want to get this out of the way.

Sketches

Completely random sketch, but sometimes you feel like you want to put your figure studies to test, definitly much more able to draw then I was a year ago...Now I'm heading into town to buy some more anatomy books and possibly invest in a quality set of pencils.

Colored it when I got home

Awfull attempt at drawing Ken from Fist of The North Star...
my anatomy is definitly not good enough to draw huge muscly bulky men,
he looks like a fat out of proportion Ken :D
