So back to the creative work! I learned a hell of a lot during the wonderful 10 week animation course.
But we're back to normal work. Working on 2 games at the moment, one of which I can't show anything.
Here's a wip on a BG:

Animation: 2D walkcycle in Photoshop
Not much to say, I was sick most of the week (still am). So in between some fever outbreaks I did this animation:
Done from start to finish in Photoshop.
The design originally looked like this (beneath), but I needed a more angry look :P

Mattesi's FORCE Animation Student Work
Mike Mattesi posted up a few videos on youtube of our assignments so far, so wanted to share the work! More so I want to be able to look back in a few years time and remember this experience, some great talent in that class and hard workers. We're basically doing more assignments in 10 weeks than we got in the year I studied animation in college (which is 3 years ago I think). And I think all of of us have full time jobs (I think 2 guys already work in animation). So that's my one advice for colleges, stress your students more, get more assignments, more deadline! :P

Animation: Dwight Howard Dunk
For shits and giggles I finished one of the frames:
The character design is by Didier Ahkoon; so please do not credit me for the design of this character, this is the work of Didier Ahkoon: http://didierahkoon.blogspot.ie/
Animation: Jump & Dunk
So this week we had to do a jump animation, and I came up with the idea of doing a dunk in a pit of hell. I was browsing the web for some inspiration of a basketball characters and found this fantastic drawing by Didier Ahkoon! I had my character! :)
So please do not credit me for the design of this character, this is the work of Didier Ahkoon: http://didierahkoon.blogspot.ie/
Here's the first pass of this 200 frame long jump:
On a side note I watched this interesting video on Wal Disney. It feels a bit like a Micheal Moore video, so don't let it fool you. Walt was a great man!

Character Design : Zombie
Finally have a final design for the zombie I am animating in my walk. But I'm currently re-animating most of it lol
I'm happy to be learning week on week, the longer I keep sucking at animation the more I am learning, so it's a good thing!

Animation: Runcycle WIP 2
So this is week 6 in my class with M. Mattesi and his FORCE animation. It's only since last week that I finally found a way that I like to digitally animate in. And I'm finally able to do some stuff that is cool :P There's another 7 months of weekly animations for me (at least that is my goal).
This is what it currently looks like:
This is the construction:
My Buddy Eddie Jensen (who designed the character), did a colorscheme of one of my keys:
