So somebody pointed me to this show on Netflix called Dorohedoro, and it is pretty freaking awesome. Cool looking characters, amazing backgrounds and lots of blood :D
Some reason I decided to do a quick thumbnail study of a sequence. Mainly it was about how satisfying a punch was because of 1 shot (Panel 13)

Storyboarding is a lot like animating, It's the old principle of Anticipation and follow through. That close up really soaking in that punch connecting with the face, and then BAM .. release and follow through in the next shot. Interestingly, in shot 14 the body is already far away form the fist, so technically it doesn't hook, but it feels awesome. I think missing information is so important for things to feel good.
also note that the camera follows the movement for emphasis, until he hits the wall.
