Tools: G-Pen, Sharpie, Pro Marker
Movie: Mildred Pierce - Dir. Michael Curtiz
For this one I went back to using a pen nib. This time I used the Kureteka G-Pen. And this was by far the best ink nib so far, so I think I will stick to this one. I use a sharpie and Pro markers for the black fills and shading.
This is the inking with the nib, where I then fill in the shapes that need black fill with a sharpie.
This was the pencil stage
I did this with a 0.1 Pigment Liner (much easier than the ink nibs) and Promarker for shading.
Movie: Throne of Blood - Dir. Akira Kurosawa
This was done with a Kuretake Saji Pen Nib. This felt better than the School pen but not much line weight. Then I very lazily used a sharpie for the black fills, so the inking is quite terrible :P
Film: Alien Covenant - Dir. Ridley Scott
So working in the same technique as my studies, this sketch was done in an A5 sketchbook with a Kuretake School Pen nib and Sharpie / markers.
Tuesdays one I did again with a Kuretake Pen Nib. This is from the movie Throne of Blood (Akira Kurosawa).
So this week as I was starting to run out of supplies I switched to inking with a pen.
I did this with the Kuretake School-Pen in a fresh sketchbook (with not great paper).
I did not enjoy this, but Mondays are always hard anyway :D
What I learned from this one is...you can't polish a turd. The drawing was bad and no matter how much shading I did, it never looked better :P
