This is just sitting in break at work sketching from Death or Glory by Remender and Bengal using the sketchbook app.. Nice way to relax, pretty cool comic too if, it has a real great sense of action and speed.

STUDY: Sketching in Autodesk Sketchbook

So using Sketch on ipad, I find that a good way to experiment with tools is to either do gesture or artist studies. I picked up my copy of Black Science and run a 10 minute timer to limit what ultimately is a form of procrastination :P

This is using the standard pencil tool, which if you hold your pen sideways on the ipad becomes a handy tool for shading. Really nice for sketching!

So getting back behind a mac, and luckily Autodesk's Sketchbook is completely free. So I'm getting used to it so I can put out some artwork again :)

The COATHANGERS : T Shirt Design

This has got the be one of the most favorite things I got to do as an artist. Atlanta Punk band the Coathangers asked me to draw a t shirt design to go with their current Euro Tour to promote the release of their first LIVE album.

We got to see the Merch at their first gig for the tour at the Hyde Park Book Club in Leeds:

Ever walk into a gig to see your designs hanging on the walls? I haven't, it's pretty awesome :P

And of course the highlight was the gig itself! My favorite live band hands down!
