There was no previous animation done with this character, so apart from a modelsheet, I had free reign with the design of the poses and expressions, really loved this episode!

ReplyDeleteHello, i am new to this blog but, allow me to introduce my self. My name is artninja, and i am a fan of rc9gn, a second series about a ninja next to tmnt 2012. I know you animated that project in flash, which is the same thing with adobe animate, but did you character rig or just hand drawn flash? Because i was thinking of animating fight scenes by using the technique done by rwby( a series involving fight choreography done by the late monty oum.).
ReplyDeleteHey artninja! When I worked on Randy we used a rig in flash, but we would also do handdrawn elements, like hands, expressions, or inbetween movements. If you know Motorcity, they used a rig for the head and then drew the rest of the body frame by frame. I think it's a good technique (Look into Toonboom if you are interested in using a rig). Hope it helps!
