Tried to figure out an idea for a character, but not successful.

So I'm using an older design that I didn't use for anything as an extra character in this comic project. It's just a concept, but gotta keep moving. 2 more characters to get through :D

Here's a sheet with the Iguana, still in concept phase. I thought I could get by drawing it without understanding Iguana anatomy but I will definitely need to figure out how the arms work :P 

The poses at the bottom are more simplified which is probably what I'll stick to.

I don't really like this design / style yet. But here was an attempt at making something like a character sheet for one of the characters.

Comic Project: Character Concepts

I'm coming up with my concepts in sketchbooks, so these are pretty rough as I make my decisions with biro :P I'm not even sure at this point if it will be more serious or more lighthearted, All I know is that I have a teen girl, younger brother (or sister), a pet Iguana and an old lady that repairs and paints custom skateboards for kids in the neighbourhood.

 

Below some quick and dirty Iguana studies, but I decided that I don't care that much about being realistic, it's just a jumping off point.

Initial monster drawing, going to need to study batwings to see how to develop this further.

Comic Project: Figuring out heads

So one of the things that happens when you're a storyboard artist is:

1- I mostly draw digital, so my drawings on paper look terrible :P

2- We change styles to suit the show we're on, and you end out forgetting how you draw on your own stuff :P 

So trying to figure out what style of heads I'll be drawing for the comic book project. I think mostly I'll leave the figuring out on the actual comic pages, Ince it's all just for practice and learning.
